11th Poikovsky Chess Tournament LIVE!

The 11th International Poikovsky chess tournament will take place from 31st May to 14th June, 2010. This time the field is extended to 12 players who will compete in round robin format.

Russia is represented by six players and among them are the tournament’s top seed Sergey Karjakin and last year winner Alexander Motylev.

Update: The source newspaper had GM Alexei Shirov listed for the event, but he denied participation in Poikovsky. Meanwhile, Hao Wang was confirmed in direct contact with Chessdom. Further changes are possible.

Update (16th May): Another change in the player field, Etienne Bacrot, Hao Wang and Peter Svidler are not playing, Nikita Vitiugov, Sergey Karjakin, Baadur Jobava and Arkadij Naiditsch are jumping in.
