4-11th December 2010, at the Società Scacchistica Milanese in Milan, Italy
The 31th edition of the International Chess Tournament “Memorial Crespi” will take place on 4-11th December 2010, at the “Società Scacchistica Milanese” in Milan, Italy. The tournament already features a strong list of players, headed by GM Aleksandar Kovacevic (SRB), winner of the 16th Bora Kostic Memorial, followed by GM Yuri Solodovnichenko (UKR), GM David Alberto (LUX), GM Mihail Marin (ROU, player, teacher and author), GM Alexander Kovchan, GM Roland Salvador (PHI) and GM Sinisa Drazic. Top Italians are International Masters Borgo, Bellia and Manca. Present also WFM Maria De Rosa, Italian woman champion 2010.
Crespi Chess Tournament, 9 rounds Swiss, is valid for GM/IM norms and features a prize fund of 5.300 EUR. Already more than 100 players are registered for the tournament.
Crespi Memorial Playing Venue 2010
The time control is 40 moves in 90 minutes and 30 minutes to finish with an increment of 30 seconds per move starting from the first move. Games start 18:30h daily. There are still places open, you can sign up at the official website.
Memorial Crespi features five different tournaments:
4-11 December: Master, 9 rounds, elo over 2000, for GM and IM norm
4-8 December: Torneo Open “A”, 7 rounds, elo 1750-2050
4-8 December: Torneo Open “B”, 7 rounds, elo under 1800
4-8 December: Torneo Under 16, 5 rounds
4-8 December: Torneo Open “C” Promozione, 5 rounds, elo under 1500
