The 5th edition of the International Chess Tournament Bazna Kings is going to take place 11th to 22nd of June 2011.

Participants are Magnus Carlsen, Vassily Ivanchuk, Sergey Karjakin, Hikaru Nakamura, Teimour Radjabov, and local hero Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu.

The European Individual Women Chess Championship 2011 will be played from 7th to 18th May in Tbilisi, Georgia. So far 133 players (among them 11 GM, 25 WGM, 26 IM, 25 WIM, 17 WFM) from 26 federations have registered to take part in the tournament.

Chessclub Jyväs-Shakki organizes the 21st Open Heart of Finland in Jyväskylä, Finland on 11-17th July, 2011. The Venue is Harju Building of Jyväskylä College, Sepänkatu 3, Jyväskylä. The Heart of Finland tournament is the biggest annual chess event in Finland.

The 9-round is organized by Club de Ajedrez Caja Insular de Ahorros de Canarias. 94 players are registered thus far and among them are seven Grandmasters. GM Julio Granda Zuniga is the top seeded player.

The Icelandic Chess Championship will start this Friday, April 15, in the resort of Eidar, near the town of Egilsstadir. Ten of Iceland’s strongest player, including three GMs, will contest the highly sought-after crown, in an event featuring some of the strongest line-up for years.

The Chinese Chess Association with the patronage and support of the Ningbo Municipal Government and Ningbo Sports Bureau has the honour to announce the 2011 World Team Chess Championship in Ningbo, China. SP Masters Series

SP Masters Series

The 1st blitz tournament in the SP Masters Series will be played on Tuesday, 12th April, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Eight players will compete in the elimination/knockout format (2 games per match), with the time control 3min+2sec. The next tournament will be played on 10th May, and after that regularly every two weeks, always on Tuesdays and at the same time (20:00 Sao Paulo time, GMT -03:00).

Open Chess Tournament Mediterranean 2017

Rijeka is located on the North-west of the Croatian coast of the Adriatic sea. The tournament is organised for the occasion of candidacy of the city of Rijeka for organisation of the Mediterranean games in 2017, under the motto “Chess with the scent of the sea”.
