International Chess Festival Nakhchivan Open

The International Chess Festival Nakhchivan Open, dedicated to the memory of President Heydar Aliyev, is scheduled to take place from 23rd April to 1st May at the “Nakhchivan Chess Center” in Nakhchivan. The players will enter two tournaments, A Group for those rated above 2250 and women rated above 2100, and B Group for those rated under 2250.

Chess South Africa on behalf of FIDE and the Commonwealth Chess Association cordially invites all chess players to participate in the 2011 Commonwealth and South African Open Chess Championships. Each Commonwealth member country is invited to enter one man and one woman as official entrants.

4th Metropolitan Chess FIDE Invitational

Metropolitan Chess will host an International Master norm round robin tournament from April 6th to 10th of 2011. This tournament is titled the 4th Metropolitan FIDE Invitational and will be held in Suite C998 of the California Market Center at 110 East 9th Street, Los Angeles 90079.

Open Karposh

International Chess Tournament “Open Karposh” will take place from 2nd to 9th April at the Replek venue in Skopje. The playing format is nine-round Swiss and 74 players will take participation. Among them is an impressive number of 18 Grandmasters. The prize fund amounts to 8.800 EUR.
