Alexander the Great Cup

2nd International Chess Rapid Tournament

The chess club “Galaxias Sports Club of Thessaloniki is organizing the 2nd International Chess Rapid Tournament “Alexander the Great Cup”. The tournament will take part 24-25 October 2008 in Athos hotel and is a part of the European Club Cup 2008.

Schedule of games

Friday 24th October 1st, 2nd, 3rd round. Start of the games at 16:00 pm.

Saturday 25th October 4th, 5th, 6th, round Start of the games at 11:00 am.

Saturday 25th October 7th, 8th, 9th round. Start of the games at 17:00 pm.

Prizes

1st 500, 2nd 400 and 3rd 300 Euros. 1st woman 150 and 1st junior U18 150 euros.

Cups to the 1st, and medals 2nd and 3rd; cup to the 1st and medals to the 2nd and 3rd woman; cups to the 1st and medals to the 2nd and 3rd. of juniors U18

The entry fee is 15 eur, and it is free for WGM and GM
