International Chess Tournament Bosna 2010

May 5 until May 14, 2010, in the organisation of the Chess Club Bosna, Sarajevo

The 40th International Chess Tournament "Bosna 2010" will be held under the patronage of Canton of Sarajevo and Government of Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina from May 5 until May 14, 2010, in the organisation of the Chess Club "Bosna" Sarajevo. The playing hall is "Dom mladih" Sarajevo.

The Tournament will be based on Swiss system in accordance of The FIDE Laws of Chess Rate of play is 90 min for 40 moves + 30 min for the rest of the moves with 30 sec additional time for each move from the move one.

Scoring will be, as follows: win = 3 points; draw = 1 point, loss = 0 point.
Each player can request a bay in a written form not later than 10 minutes after the completion of the previous round. For a bay player receives 1 point. All players have a right to request a bay in the first 6 rounds. After the 6th round players have a right for a bay provided they are not in the top 20 ranking in their prize group.

According to a Bosnian legislation, prize money is to be taxed by 10%, tax certificate issued. Chess Club Bosna guarantees the 75% of the prize fund in the case of less than 300 registered players and 100% for 300 and more registered players.

Prizes are not cumulative. If participant wins prize on two basis, he will receive main prize provided it is higher or equal to special. Participant always receives one, higher prize. If participant wins two equal special prizes, than he will draw a lot to determine the prize group taken.

Easter discount (2nd-7th April): Organizer of the "Bosna 2010" tournament announces a special Easter discount on entry fee an accommodation costs during Easter Holiday. On this occasion organizer offers unique opportunity to all interested chess players to register at the "Bosna 2010" with the SPECIAL DISCOUNT of 15% for for entry fee and accommodation.

The organizer will provide chess sets and clocks. Top 25 boards will be transmitted live.
