After the dynamic and interesting Zonal 2.5, Paraguay is going to host one of the strongest tournaments in Latin America for the year. The II Magistral Ciudad de Asunción, Copa Roggio, is going to take place June 28 - July 7 in Asuncion.
Top seeded is the local GM Axel Bachman, who will have as main competition the World Cup 2009 participant GM Andrés Rodríguez, the Cuban GM Reinaldo Vera, and the only Bolivia garandmaster Oswaldo Zambrana.
There will be a parallel section B, featuring many international masters, including IM Luis Sieiro, IM Guillermo Malbrán, and IM Cristóbal Valiente.
