The World Chess Championship Mexico 2007 will take place in Mexico City September 12 – October 1, 2007. The average ELO is over 2750, which makes the tournament category XXI. Very few events in the history of chess have been such a high category and it is not surprising since all the players are 2700+.

The tournament will be a double round robin and the prize fund is $1.3 million. The games will be played at Hotel Sheraton Centro Histórico and will start every day at 14:00 local time.
